TFA was founded in 2018 and is funded by The Honorable Carole L. Brookins (In Memoriam)* as a US-domiciled private “non-operating” Foundation. Strategic partnerships have been structured with French and US organizations to carry out programs and projects aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
TFA was formally announced in Washington D.C. on December 11, 2018 at The Army Navy Club. It has officially operated since April 30, 2018. All official documents have been filed with Federal and State agencies in compliance with relevant U.S. legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.
The Founder The Honorable Carole L. Brookins serves as the Founding Chairman of The First Alliance Foundation Board. LTG (France-Ret) Olivier Tramond serves as Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Richard Kamenitzer serves as the TFA Secretary/Treasurer. Other Directors are: Dr. Richard Sandor (CEO & Founder, The American Financial Exchange) and Mr. Lawrence Goodman (CEO & Founder, The Center for Financial Stability).
TFA’s distinguished members of its Senior Advisory Board are: Ms. Susan Eisenhower (President, The Eisenhower Group), Mr. Tony Culley-Foster (Founder & President, CFCO, Intl), LTG (Ret) David Huntoon, LTG (Ret) Claude “Mick” Kicklighter, and VADM (Ret) Scott Van Buskirk.
The First Alliance (TFA) Foundation is a US private foundation, registered as a non-profit corporation in Delaware, residing in Florida. TFA has a U.S. tax ID number and official IRS U.S. 501 (c)(3) status.
The Board of Directors provides for the governance of the Foundation. Each Board member has been selected to assure a diverse, highly professional and astute complement in order to award grants to those entities best able to deliver quality and meaningful programming that fulfill the stated mission.
The Senior Advisory Board are highly acknowledged military and non-military leaders acting in a non-fiduciary role to advance the mission, programs, and initiatives of the Foundation.
